Taken from the Canon USA press release:"Canon has just announced the release of the Canon EOS Rebel T1i, the 6th generation of Canon's popular entry-level DSLR camera series. The Rebel T1i improves upon earlier Rebels by incorporating many features formally found on Canon's pricier mid-level EOS 50D. Among the Rebel T1i's key attributes are a 15.1 Mega pixel CMOS sensor, Live View, continuous burst-rates of up to 3.4 fps, a DIGIC 4 image processor, and a bright, High-resolution 3" VGA LCD screen."
This announcement brings the higher level technology commonly found in the top of the line models down to more affordable prices. The integration of HD video will be desirable for mom's and dad's looking for an all-in-one solution to still and video recording.
